UNCOMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
ENFJ, which apparently means “Protagonist.” This personality type makes up about 2–3% of the population and is known for leading by inspiring others. That makes sense for me because I’m always trying to get people excited about an idea, a plan, or a project.
ENFJs are also known for being empathetic and strong at bringing people together, which is probably why I’m so drawn to community and being part of a team.

I’m a Leo (a fire sign), which explains why I love big ideas and being in charge of the vision.
Leos are known for being confident, creative, and very opinionated. They are also often seen as dramatic and strong leaders, which may explain my obsession with storytelling and being overly involved in leadership roles.
Someone once told me that a Leo is the person you’d want leading a creative brainstorm.

My portfolio is inspired by the children’s game Toca Boca (2010). I grew up playing Toca Boca games, and they always encouraged imagination and play.
I tend to think in objects, colors, and scenes instead of clean grids, so building a room felt more natural to me than creating a traditional portfolio.
Every item in the space connects to a project, an idea, or something that influences how I think.

Here is a list of reasons why the banana felt like the perfect logo:
I love Andy Warhol. His painting “Banana” (1966) is one of my favorite pieces. Warhol is my favorite artist of all time and seeing the Warhol museum changed my brain chemistry as a creative. I am quirky, colorful, and huge fan of modern art and pop art.
I’m also just your stereotypical endurance sport enthusiast who loves bananas. My weekly diet often consists of banana brown sugar moka pot lattes, banana pancakes, and more. Just like every other cross country / track runner, the banana and peanut butter bagel combo fuels speed, and was always my go-to pre-race breakfast.
Songs that feature bananas remind me of my childhood, nostalgia and family. When I was a very little kid, my dad would sing the song Bananaphone by Raffi, I can still envision this moment today. Unironically, as a kid, my favorite song was “Holdback Girl” (2005) by Gwen Stefani. I used to SCREAM “B-A-N-A-N-A-S” in the back of my dad’s car as the song blasted.

Joy (from Inside Out), Vanellope von Schweetz (from Wreck-It Ralph), Mabel Pines (from Gravity Falls), and Pinkie Pie (from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic).
I am a bubbly extrovert full of witt and I think everything is better with a sprinkle of laughs, encouragement, and optimism - these characters sum up my personality perfectly.
-
Life is a story, and I’m a storyteller.
I am a huge empath and optimist, with a daily habit of feeling deeply for others and helping both myself and others “look on the bright side.”
As a strategist, I naturally look for what something could become instead of what it is right now. I work to see potential before anyone else does and then convince people it was there all along.
-
My current obsession is turning mundane days into entertaining and silly stories.
I value humor, authenticity, and friendship.
I turned those values into my newest hyperfixation…writing weekly newsletters: Adalyn’s World Every Week (AWEW).
It started as a way to stay connected with my friends and family who are 3,000+ miles away but it also turned into a habit of paying attention to details and turning dull moments into memorable ones.
-
My roommate often gives me her vibrant hand-me-downs because I’m a “colorful” person. She’s right!
My favorite color is the entire rainbow but with a very curated palette.
When it comes to fashion and color, I tend to stick to specific shades, which feels on brand for me especially since my Spotify Wrapped 2026 called me a “Curator.”
I find myself drawn to the same tones of browns, reds, blues, and other colors I can’t stop collecting. Curious? Let’s talk about it or go thrifting.
I love curating things whether it’s clothes, objects, or ideas. I’m a maximalist, but to me maximalism is not random. It simply means having more colors to work with.
So for me, the rainbow feels like the only correct answer.

The fig tree is a metaphor for life and its infinite possibilities, where each fig represents a different path worth exploring. I have always wanted to pick as many figs as possible. I believe in taking big chances, embracing spontaneity, and saying “yes.”
In August 2025, I packed my life into a small, slightly busted car and drove from Virginia to Eugene, Oregon to pursue my master’s in Advertising and Brand Responsibility.
Moving across the country was a little scary, but I knew I wanted to be in an environment that would push me creatively and personally.
I still make an effort to stay connected with people back home, which is probably why I send a weekly newsletter whether anyone asked for it or not.
I believe that with effort and intention, you can pick as many figs as you choose.

I’m a woman of consistency.
